This will be a free day for you to settle into your one night stay in the city, get some rest, explore the city of San Jose and immerse yourself in the culture and history of Costa Rica! Once you land, you can arrange picking up your rental vehicle or we'll book your group an airport transfer to your hotel. Once you’re settled, we suggest lunch downtown, seeing the National Museum of Costa Rica, touring the central markets or “Mercado Central” for locally grown produce, yummy pastries, empanadas and freshly brewed co. Grab dinner and enjoy a night out or head to your hotel to rest and prepare for a mini road trip to the Arenal Volcano region tomorrow morning.

You have an early and long day ahead of you so start the day early and grab a bite at the hotel. Your prearranged driver will arrive early to transfer you to your second city on your Costa Rican excursion: Arenal Volcano. On the way there, you have the option to take a 2.5 mile hike just 30 minutes outside of San Jose to see “La Mano del Mantra” or The Hand of the Mantra. This breathtaking tourist attraction is 100% optional, but if you’re interested in a bit of adventure before your a long drive north, we can arrange that. Once you get to Arenal Volcano, settle into your five star, bungalow style accommodations.

Spend the afternoon taking in the gorgeous views of Arenal Volcano. You’ll have a 2 day access pass to a top rated hot springs spa for your time here in Arenal. Soak in the hot springs with a clear view of Arenal Volcano, and enjoy spa amenities on your own account at this location. Later that night, freshen up and indulge in a Salsa dancing class and a hands on Costa Rican cooking class with your group.

Enjoy a complimentary breakfast at your hotel before going full force into an adventure filled day. Today, you’ll be outdoors primarily and walking a lot so make sure you're comfortable! You’ll be picked up at your hotel to go on a 3 stop tour: You’ll Cross the rainforest canopy on hanging bridges, swim at the base of mystical La Fortuna Waterfall and hike the Lava Slides trail at Arenal Volcano National Park. Lunch is included! This will be a long day, so later on, enjoy day 2 of your hot springs day pass in the evening, and a hot meal of your choice in town.

Your driver will be at your bungalow to pick you up in the morning. Get comfortable, as this is a 4+ hr ride down to the coastal city of Manuel Antonio. Check into your luxury accommodations (3 nights). Upon arrival, enjoy some free time settling into your accommodations and being outdoors at your second tropical destination. This day, we’ve secured tickets to Manuel Antonio National Park where you'll spot majestic wildlife and get a feel for the natural beauty this coastal city has to offer.

This activity was definitely TGV's favorite part of Manuel Antonio. After savoring a freshly cooked breakfast by your private chef, this morning you’ll be picked up and headed to the rainforest. This is where you’ll meet with locally trained guides for a 5 mile horseback ride to Nauyaca waterfall. The views of wildlife and the vegetation on this uphill journey are absolutley spectacular.

Swim, take pictures and take in the scenic beauty of this location — It’s better than you think. After, ride the horses to have an authentic Costa Rican lunch before trekking back to the starting point and transported back home.

Spend the day at sea today. After filling up on home cooked breakfast, you’ll have the option to take a fun half day catamaran cruise with bottomless drinks and lunch served aboard or, take a more exclusive route: Set sail on a 50+ foot yacht in Quepos. The boat crew provides you with a variety of snacks, beverages, fruits and food. For both options, water activities like snorkeling and paddle boarding are offered.

After having some free time that evening, end the trip off right with a farewell dinner prepared by a private chef.

Pack your bags and hop in your airport transfer transportation which will take you to San Jose to catch your flight back home. Coordinate with your group/travel partner to ensure departing flights have the same or similar departing time to allow for one transfer from Manuel Antonio → San Jose (2.5 drive)
