Welcome to Ghana! Upon arrival in Accra, you’ll be greeted with private transportation to your luxury accommodations. Take the day to settle in, refresh, and run any necessary errands such as stopping by the ATM, visiting a pharmacy, or setting up a local SIM card. In the evening, kick off your journey with a thoughtfully curated welcome mixer at one of Accra’s top-tier restaurants, where you’ll enjoy a delicious spread of local and international cuisine and small bites while mingling with fellow travelers.

Today is all about getting acquainted with the energy and culture of Accra. Start the day with a vibrant welcome brunch before setting off on an immersive tour of Accra. With a designated Accra based guide, we’ll visit the historic Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, take in the iconic sights at Independence Square, and shop for handmade crafts at the Accra Arts Centre. While we’re out, we’ll engage in a cultural Batik making class. Later in the evening, you’ll have the optional night out with the group to experience Accra’s nightlife.

Enjoy a slow morning as you ease into day 3 in Accra. Get hands-on with Ghana’s rich cultural heritage by participating in a traditional activity with our arts & culture partner. Whether it’s a cooking class where you’ll learn to make local delicacies, a ceramic-making workshop, or a pottery making session, this day is all about creativity and cultural connection. As the sun sets, dress up for an elegant night out at one of Accra’s premier venues, where you’ll enjoy fine dining and an upscale social experience.

Take a road trip along Ghana’s stunning coastline as we head to Cape Coast for a deeply moving experience at Elmina Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage site that holds profound significance in the African diaspora. Along the way, we’ll stop at scenic coastal spots for cultural immersion and photo opportunities. Enjoy a group lunch at a beachside hotel, reflective about the experience and soak in the ocean views. For those seeking a bit of adventure and an adrenaline rush, we’ll head north to visit Kakum National Park’s famous canopy walk before we return to Accra in the evening.

Take the day to unwind or create your own plan for the day. There’s so much to do in Accra: You can enjoy a day at the spa, for women, try out an obstacle course, get your hair braided at a local salon (we will share out top list + contacts with your group), visit one of Accra’s high-end restaurants, or meet up with friends that are on the land. If you’re in the mood for shopping, we can suggest the best spots for boutique and shopping in Accra.

Today, you move at your own pace.

Start the morning with a fulfilling experience as we give back to the local Accra community through a volunteer initiative. We will be supporting [Insert volunteer experience here: A local school? Engaging with an organization that empowers women and children], creating a chance to make a meaningful impact through the GGC community. Later in the afternoon, we’ll enjoy lunch and we’ll have a chance to stop by Accra’s bustling markets, where you can shop for fresh shea butter, handmade jewelry, fresh fruit and more.

Escape the city for a refreshing day trip to the lush Aburi Botanical Gardens. Enjoy a beautifully curated picnic surrounded by nature, complete with fresh fruit, light bites, and refreshing drinks. Unleash our creativity with a sip-and-paint session after lunch. Depending on the season (rainy vs dry), the group can hike down to a waterfall in this region or relax at a mountain side venue, before heading back to Accra.

Yesterday was long – Today will be another free day for the group to handle last minute errands, hit any sights or self care destinations that they’d like. We will arrange for massages to happen at the hotel for this day.

Your trip ends in an beautifully curated farewell dinner. The evening will be set in a private venue with decor, photo opp backdrops, featuring a gourmet three-course meal and live entertainment, including cultural performances such as traditional drumming, dancing, and music by a saxophonist or DJ. This will be a night to celebrate the experiences we’ve shared and the new connections formed. Afterwards, enjoy the night as you choose.

For those looking to extend their stay, we’ll provide additional recommendations and can assist with accommodation arrangements to ensure a seamless continuation of your journey. But today, private airport transfers will come and take the group to the airport according to their flight time. Farewell, Ghana!
